CALL FOR POSTERS AND DEMOS (PDF)

The International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN 2011)
draws upon many disciplines including networking, signal and image processing, information
and coding theory, databases, information management, distributed algorithms, embedded
systems, wireless communications, and machine learning. In addition to full-length
technical papers, IPSN is very interested in showcasing demonstrations of novel sensor
network technology, applications, and hardware as well as posters showing exciting early
work.

Abstracts of accepted posters and demos will appear in the regular conference proceedings.
Submissions will be evaluated based on technical merit and innovation as well as their
potential to stimulate interesting discussions and exchange of ideas at the conference.
The content should be a two-page abstract in PDF format that follows the IPSN
regular-paper formatting guidelines; please refer to the IPSN regular-paper submission
instructions for details. IPSN encourages both academic and industrial submissions. The
poster and demo session does not distinguish between the IP track and the SPOTS track;
submissions of interest to both tracks are welcome.

Demos:

Demo abstracts should describe both the technology being showcased as well as the user
experience of the demo. Submissions must include a separate section for the demo script
that specifically describes how users will interact with the demo. Abstracts with working
implementations that do not engage the user (e.g. wireless messaging or on-board
computation) may be re-directed to the poster session. A table, power, and wireless
connectivity will be provided for each demo. If a demonstration requires special
arrangements in addition to the above, please describe them clearly in the demo abstract
submission. Submissions to the demo session should be sent to the IPSN demo chair:
Kamin Whitehouse <whitehouse@virginia.edu>

Posters:

A poster should report on research for which at least preliminary results are available,
and need not describe completed work. An easel will be provided for all posters.
Submissions to the poster session should be sent to the IPSN poster chair:
Yunhao Liu <liu@cse.ust.hk>

Important Dates:

Poster and demo submission deadline: February 4, 2011, 11:59pm (PST)
Notification of acceptance: February 18, 2011
Camera-ready abstracts due: March 1, 2011
Conference dates: April 12-14, 2011

For clarifications, contact the IPSN 2011 posters/demos chairs.
